Organization Description

Farmers Boulevard Community Development Corp. (“Farmers CDC”) is a not-for-profit corporation founded in 2009 to provide neighborhood redevelopment and improve social and economic conditions is Southeast Queens, New York, with a focus on revitalizing Farmers Boulevard into an inspiring, convenient, and appropriately utilized main street serving Saint Albans and the surrounding neighborhoods.


“We want to help the existing entities and businesses on the boulevard, but we also want to attract some others, particularly to the existing vacant spaces,” said Isa Abdur-Rahman, president of the Farmers Boulevard Community Development Corporation.

“In order to be self-sustaining we want the merchants to recognize that if we are going to do something of value for them, then they have to be prepared to participate in sustaining that value,” Abdur-Rahman said.
