We've got a good thing going on Farmers Blvd.  Saturday, September 28th, kicked off our "Fourth Saturdays on Farmers" series of community forums and cultural events.  The featured event was our Youth Empowerment forum entitled, "The Value of Life."  Local high school students, including students from the NYPD Explorers program, gathered at the Triangle Building to discuss issues of self-worth, stereotypes and peer pressure.

Farmers Boulevard Community Development Corp. (FBCDC) was founded in 2009 to help revitalize the corridor as a destination for healthy eating, vibrant culture, and all-around quality living. St. Albans Volunteers Clean Up Community

Farmers Boulevard was recently the center of attention for a volunteer clean-up effort held on Saturday, June 12.  Volunteers of all ages pitched in to help sweep up trash, pull up weeds, and clean up about seven blocks of this resurging commercial corridor.
Farmers Boulevard Community Development Corp. organized the event, and it was supported by local residents, local business owners, the NYPD's Explorer corps, Project H.Y.P.E. and other concerned citizens who volunteered their time and energy for the clean-up effort.
